Encounter Transformation
From 2017 through 2023, the ABQYAV program invited 19 young adults to New Mexico to encounter transformation. Whether it was about understanding local cultural and racial history, learning from local nonprofits rooted in the community, or reflecting on their own personal journey of growth, we trust that each of ABQYAVs encountered transformation, both in the places they served, and in themselves.
As of July 2024, the ABQYAV program is closing its doors. We still know there is incredible work to be done accompanying young adults through transformative experiences, and invite you to check out the work of our friends at the Young Adult Transformation Collective.

Albuquerque, New Mexico, sits on Tiwa land, the ancestral home of numerous Pueblo peoples. As visitors in this space, we give gratitude for the stewardship of those native people who have been here since time immemorial. As a faith-based program, we acknowledge our own complicity in settler colonialism and the sin of the Doctrine of Discovery, and commit ourselves to work against those systems in the ongoing pursuit of justice.
